“Evge” means “exceptionally done” in ancient Greek. Not only is it our name, it is our motto—which means even more in these days when scandals are plaguing some mass distributed olive oil export companies.
Our olive-based products are full of nutrition and have exquisite taste. That is because our only concern is to cultivate the very best growing areas in Greece, and offer only the utmost quality products to select retailers around the globe.
EVGE olives are “cold extracted,” which means that they have been kept under 27ºC during the extraction process. This allows the olive juice to retain all of its flavor, aroma, and nutritional value.
We also package our products in dark green, glass bottles, which helps protect the “liquid gold” inside from light, heat, and oxygen—all of which can cause rancidity.
While our products are rich in color, we warn you that the color of an extra virgin olive oil is not an indicator of its quality. In fact, some (literally and figuratively) unsavoryproducers actually add leaves during the crushing process to increase chlorophyll and obtain a dark-green colored juice!
